There are moments in life when everything is in motion, and then there are moments when everything becomes still.
May has arrived, and I find myself in a moment of pause—one that is asking me to listen more deeply. Since my last reflection, much has shifted, both outwardly and within. In many ways, this transition has asked me to loosen my grip, to trust more deeply, and to embrace the quiet in between what was and what is becoming. I find myself between places—searching for a new home, for the vision that continues to grow within me.
This in-between space has not been empty. It has been sacred.

In this stillness, I returned to a labor of love that has been calling me for years—my Journey to Self Love. What began as a seed in 2017, and took root in 2020 during a time when the world stood still, has now come into full expression. Over the past few months, I revisited, refined, and reconnected with the first full draft of this 28-day self-reflective guide—documenting practices that have supported my healing, my growth, and my becoming. This body of work is more than words on paper—it is a lived experience, a reflection of the practices that carried me through many seasons over the past eight years. Each page holds a piece of my journey: the lessons, the discomfort, the breakthroughs, and the quiet moments of clarity.
There were years that tested me deeply in ways I could not have imagined—years marked by loss, pain, and emotional weight. There were moments when I questioned everything. When life asked more of me, I leaned into the practices that felt true. I listened to my body. I honored what nourished me, and I released what did not. Slowly, gently, I began to shift. I found something greater within myself: compassion, resilience, and a quiet return to love.
I am still finding my footing, still learning the rhythm of this new chapter. But what feels different this time is not the uncertainty—it is how I am holding it. I am no longer moving from survival, from fear, or from a place of lack. I have given myself permission to believe in ease, to expect goodness, and to choose what feels aligned.
This awareness has changed everything.
I am learning what it means to live authentically—not as an idea, but as a daily practice. To align my thoughts, my words, my behaviors, and my lifestyle with the life I envision for myself. To make decisions rooted in trust, self-love, and clarity. To release what no longer serves me—relationships, patterns, expectations—and to create space for what does.
I am also learning to honor my body as home—listening more closely, moving more intentionally, and responding with care rather than urgency. I am becoming more mindful of my home space, recognizing it as an extension of my inner world—a place that should reflect peace, creativity, and restoration. And I am leaning into community in new ways, understanding that healing is not meant to be done alone, but witnessed, supported, and shared.
Through this process, I have come to understand that I was living much of my life in fight-or-flight mode, anchored in survival. And while that version of me did what she needed to do, I am now choosing something different. I am choosing freedom.
Freedom to rest.
Freedom to create.
Freedom to feel joy without explanation.
Freedom to become.
This is what the Journey to Self Love holds. Twenty-eight of the many practices that supported me in coming back to myself—practices grounded in authenticity, alignment, and, ultimately, abundance. I am preparing to publish this book in the coming days, and I am both excited and deeply grateful. This book has been as much a healing tool for me as I hope it will be for others.
Creativity has been my companion through it all. Even in transition, it has served as both an outlet and a mirror—allowing me to process, to express, and to dream forward. As I look ahead, I am reimagining the next chapter of HeArt House. The next space will not only hold art—it will hold this work. It will be designed with intention and built to nurture a community of individuals who are ready to live more freely, more fully, and more in alignment with their truth.
While I may not have all the answers about what comes next, I recognize this place. I have been here before—standing at the edge of something new. What is different now is that I trust the process. I trust myself. I trust where I am being guided.
Not rushed.
Not forced.
But steady.
Rooted.
I feel lighter.
I feel freer.
And I am moving forward.
There is beauty in the becoming.
There is power in the pause.
And there is grace in the bloom.

Thank you for being here, for witnessing this journey, and for growing alongside me.
I invite you to reflect on your own journey. What are you being asked to release? What are you learning to trust? What would it look like to choose yourself more fully?
With love,
HeART + House

Your reflection on the journey of self-love really resonates with me, especially the idea of embracing the stillness in between transitions. I find that those moments of pause often lead to the most profound insights. It’s inspiring to see how you’ve turned your experiences into a guide for others, as I believe sharing our journeys can create a powerful sense of community. I’ve also been exploring ways to honor my own space and creativity, much like you mentioned about making your home a reflection of your inner world. It reminds me of how I can approach my hobbies, like playing games, to foster that sense of joy and ease.
